Biography

“POLSKY are a band of the people, by some people” – Chris Warren, Founder & CEO

POLSKY has evolved from the bedroom laptop electronics of Chris Warren (vocals, guitar) to a fully-formed, energetic pop band with the appointment of the executive board; Senior Synth Architect, Ben Warn (keyboards), Rhythm Logistics Engineer, Alex Robertson (drums) and Low Frequency Systems Analyst Chris Norman (bass).

Starting his musical career under the wing of Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie, while working in their September Sound studio, Warren paid close attention to Guthrie's production and writing techniques while absorbing ideas from sessions with Echo and the Bunnymen, Nick Lowe, Terry Hall, Ian Broudie, Billy Mackenzie and many others.
Warren played in several bands throughout the noughties, including Shadow Orchestra (now Talk In Colour) and agit-pop band BIB - who were given an NME 'single of the week' and toured with the XX Teens. During this period he formulated his musical vision for what would become POLSKY and My Own Company, a collection of perfectly formed pop songs about corporate zombies, elderly love affairs, brain function, mid-nineties video game addiction and the undeniable human obsession with shouting louder than everyone else.

Join POLSKY. Embrace their manifesto. Live their ethos. Dance their dance. All applications considered.

Ben Warn

Keyboards, vocals & percussion
Ben Warn is the musical professor of POLSKY Corp. His orchestral and vocal arrangements add so much to the company strategy and overall value. Warn's background is predominantly musical theatre and much of his adult life has been spent working with some of the best musicians the UK (and the world) have to offer.
Warren and Warn have been friends for many years but in 2014, they both decided that POLSKY Corp. would be their joint venture from now on. And so it was.

...Now where did I put my shaky egg?!

Chris Norman

Bass & Vocals

Chris Norman brings a wealth of experience to the corporation having started his musical career as a Grammy-winning chorister at Winchester Cathedral in the early 90's before picking up the bass guitar as a teenager. Influenced by the Nirvana/Carter USM mixtape his older brother made for him, Chris spent the remainder of his teens developing his musical ability in numerous bands before joining POLSKY Corp. in 2014.

Following a chance meeting with Alex Robertson, Chris was offered the position of trainee bass assistant and instantly jelled with the team. Having passed his probationary period with only minor disciplinary issues, Chris was delighted to be appointed as Bass Systems Analyst in 2014. His primary duties include playing the low notes that no other POLSKY employee can reach and singing the high notes that no other POLSKY employee can reach.

Alex Robertson

Drums
Rhythm Logistics Engineer, Alex Robertson, joined POLSKY Corp. early in 2014 following a meeting with Chris Warren in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Being "between jobs" at that particular time, Robertson was intrigued by Warren's description of the Corporation and suggested his involvement. Several conference calls later and Alex was hired to clap along with the rest of the team members...at the back of the room...in the dark... quietly.
